The Korea Football Association (KFA) revised some of its regulations to revise various provisions including the management of the presidential election. Some of the amendments were related to the procedure for appointing a national team coach.

KFA said on the 12th, "We held the 6th board meeting in 2024 at the Korea Football Center this morning and deliberated and approved the revision of the national soccer team's operating regulations, K3 and K4 league club licensing regulations, and presidential election management regulations."온라인바카라

The revision of the "National Team Management Regulations" changed the method in which the association notified the club after the appointment in the process of appointing the coach of the national team at all levels. In accordance with Article 12, Paragraph 2, the association will now consult with the club in advance if a person belonging to the club is recommended as a coach.

Article 12 clause 2 stipulated that even if a coach is currently coaching a K-League team, the club should follow the decision of the Korea Football Association if the KFA appoints a coach and notifies the club. This means that if the board of directors decides to appoint a coach, the club should send the coach to the national team as it is.

In fact, the KFA appointed Hong Myung-bo, the current coach of the Korean national soccer team, who was then the coach of Ulsan Hyundai, in July based on this regulation. The KFA's decision sparked a great controversy among various soccer fans, including Ulsan fans, at a time when it is trying to win its third consecutive K League 1 title starting from the 2022 season. In addition, the issue of regulations on the operation of the Korean national soccer team also attracted great attention.

Regarding these items, Hong Myung-bo said on July 11, "I think we need to change it. Times have changed a lot, and I don't think we will change it if we arrest the manager of each team's K League as before. We need to change it according to the times."

By changing the way the national team's coaching staff is formed, other staff except for the coach were excluded from the appointment of the board of directors. As a result, it is expected that the process of appointing the coach staff will be simplified and the efficiency of the national team's operation will be improved.

The club licensing regulations of the K3 and K4 leagues were also revised, with the emphasis being on strengthening the stability of player employment. As a result, all K3 and K4 league clubs must sign contracts with players registered as club members starting next season, and registration without a separate contract is not allowed as before.
In addition, the K4 League club's mandatory holding of salary contract players will be strengthened in stages. Currently, it is required to have at least five players, but it will increase by one every year from 2026 to 2030, requiring at least 10 annual contract players after five years. In particular, teams promoted from K4 to K3 League did not have to match the number of annual contract players at once, but adjusted to meet an additional five players in the first year to reduce the burden.

At the same time, some of the president's election management regulations for fair elections have been changed. The name of the Election Commission has been changed to the Election Commission, and it reflects the recommendations of the Korean Sports Commission by specifying specific regulations such as the composition of the committee, prohibited acts, and the return of deposits.

The Korea Football Association announced the election schedule for the next president at its board meeting on the day. The election management committee will be formed until Dec. 12, and candidate registration will run from Dec. 25-27. The election for the president will take place on Jan. 8, 2025, and the new president's term will begin at the regular general meeting on Jan. 22.
